A no-phones entertainment brand, and a building to showcase it
LOST had a concept. Together we helped them prepare for and raise a seed round, prove the concept and build a meaningful audience. There was still no model, raise plan or growth plan an investor could test. We built one quickly, with the plan and the investor materials that went out with it.
Fabien Riggall had already built Secret Cinema. LOST was the next: live entertainment with the phones left at the door. It needed a proof of concept, then another step up to its flagship, the old London College of Fashion site, turned into Lost City.
There was no financial model an investor could test, no plan built on it and no cap table ready for new money. We built all three, and the investor materials with them, in days rather than weeks.
Four workstreams, in order
The five-year model
We built it from the operating detail rather than a template, and consolidated the group accounts into it so there was one set of numbers rather than several. We delivered innovative investment structures to solve for the unique facts for the vehicle.
The business plan
We wrote it around the model rather than alongside it, so the narrative and the numbers could not drift apart. It covers the flagship site, the audience, the operating model, and what would have to be true for the plan to hold.
Cap table and shareholders
We reworked the model's structure for shareholders and incoming investors, so the effect of the raise on existing holders was legible rather than something to take on trust. We ran the shareholder communications too.
Investor outreach
We built the target list, took the raise out to strategic and financial investors ourselves, and ran the follow-up. Fabien was in the conversations that mattered and none of the ones that did not.
Alongside all of it
Events and campaign delivery from inside our own team, and the investment documents themselves. The legal work came last, not first.
We still hold the model.
The people in the first conversation ran the deal.
Call us before, not after.
If this is the shape of what you need, we should talk. The earlier the call, the more we can add. The first conversation costs nothing.
